Task
The ETC control module (N15/3) measures the current operating state of the vehicle and controls all shifting operations taking the ease of shifting and driving situation into consideration. This is done by receiving, converting and sending digital and analog signals.

Input signals:
Starter interlock contact (Y3/6s1)
RPM sensor 2 (Y3/6n2)
RPM sensor 3 (Y3/6n3)
Transmission oil temperature sensor (Y3/6b1)
Kickdown switch (S16/6)
Gear identification switch (S16/10)
W/S program switch (S16/10s2)

Input and output signals:
Data link connector (X11/4)

  Output signals:
Reverse/parking lock valve (Y66/1)
P/N selector lever position for engine control module (N3/10)
(only when recognizing selector lever position "P" or "N" at the gear identification switch (S16/10) and at the starter interlock contact (Y36s1)

In addition there is a connection via the engine compartment bus to the:

The ETC control module (N15/3) controls the solenoid valves for modulating and shift pressure and for shifting gears.

Function
The pressure required is calculated from all input signals, adjusted to the torque to be transferred. The following information from other systems is then processed:
